JUNE

In June Hamiltons celebrated the work of the masterful Albert Watson with an Online Viewing Room charting the depth and breadth of Watson's storied photographic career. The Online Viewing Room was created to coincide with Watson's monumental exhibition Rome Codex at the Palazzo Esposizioni Rome, where the artist was hand-picked by representatives of the City of Rome to capture the essence of the city. Rome Codex featured 200 large format prints printed on UV linen – a practice that was first developed by Watson for his 2023 exhibition SKYE at Hamiltons.

JUNE-SEPTEMBER

Between June and September, Hamiltons was delighted to exhibit Nick Waplington's We Dance in MysteriesA collection of photographs taken between 1989 and 1995, Waplington captured the chaos and creativity behind the scenes of Isaac Mizrahi's downtown fashion studio by day and the thumping bassline of the New York City techno scene by night. Waplington described the decision to bring the two sets of images together as a riotous juxtaposition which “describes the vibrancy of a vanished moment in New York’s cultural history.”
